Many have encouraged me to write a biography or share my personal story, but that doesn’t resonate with my values. I hold my privacy and solitude in high regard, which is why I seldom speak about myself. Instead, I often share tales about my family, particularly focusing on my mother. Recently, upon reaching the age of 51, I’ve had the opportunity to reflect on my life. While I continue to appreciate my solitary nature, I’m contemplating sharing more about who I am. So, allow me to take this moment to offer a glimpse into my beliefs and a bit about my journey.
My purpose became evident later in life. For over half of my life , I have faced health challenges. I began as a vibrant, active child who loved the outdoors, but my health took an unexpected turn. Raised in a nurturing, supportive home by a single mother, I was encouraged to reach my full potential. Being homeschooled allowed me to explore the realm of literature, science, history, astronomy broadening my horizons. My mother fostered a passion for the arts, culture, and travel in me from an early age. However, my health struggles led to a challenging period filled with darkness. Despite the odds, my mother maintained faith in my recovery. Tragically, I lost her in 2009, an event that profoundly impacted my life. In the wake of illness and loss, I found myself searching for purpose and contemplating my next steps.
I see myself as an artist, storyteller, minimalist, and an enthusiast of both the environment and the arts, but most importantly, as someone who once felt adrift in time. An illness invaded my life quietly, like a thief in the night, robbing me of precious moments. Those years represented the darkest chapter of my journey. In the midst of this darkness, my mother stood as my only source of light. She became my steadfast support and, at times, my driving force. Throughout my struggle, she would not entertain the notion of giving up. Each day was a formidable challenge, fraught with the anticipation of more pain and suffering. The unending cycle of despair ensnared me in a tempest of hopelessness. There were moments when the thought of surrendering to eternal sleep felt tempting, yet my mother’s unwavering presence inspired me to persevere. She was my guiding light of hope.
One of the countless gifts my mother gave me, for which I will forever be thankful, was rekindling my connection to art. Her unwavering faith in my abilities and potential breathed new life into me. It all started slowly – first with painting, and then I began to relearn how to read, write, and express myself. To be honest, the illness left me with a mild form of dyslexia and aphasia, alongside nerve damage in my left arm. Every aspect of my body was impacted, from my eyes to my legs, nearly reaching my brain. It was a tough journey, but the outcome was undoubtedly worth it. My mother provided me with the tools to lead a purposeful and fulfilling life. Art has become my entire existence; it is the essence of who I am and the rhythm that drives my heart. This is my passion, and it is what I love most.
Since I was a child, I have harbored a deep passion for art and helping others, nurtured by the unwavering support of my family. Despite the challenges life has presented, I have embraced unconventional avenues to pursue my creative aspirations. Often, these unique paths lead to truly rewarding experiences. My keen observation of life has become my most profound teacher. Although my journey as an artistic storyteller may differ from the norm, it is filled with emotions, rich character, and the essence of humanity.
I inherited the art of storytelling from my mother and grandfather, who taught me about the profound influence a story can have—how it can uplift the spirit and bring hope to those who feel lost. A powerful narrative acts as a catalyst for transformation, illuminating the truth. A talented storyteller possesses the power to shape the world. As they imparted, a storyteller creates vibrant imagery through words, much like an artist with a brush. I aim to weave beautiful and meaningful tales with my brush and pen as my tools.
I create my works to inspire others, acting as a bridge for thought-provoking discussions that explore the essence of societal issues. By igniting meaningful dialogues about their concerns, struggles, dreams, and feelings, I seek to provide a glimpse into the human experience. My art also examines the interplay of energy, highlighting both its light and darkness. I believe that we are all cosmic particles in an infinite universe. Through my poetry and paintings, I invite viewers on an emotional journey, navigating various feelings, actions, and identities, encouraging introspection and promoting self-discovery.
My life has been an extraordinary journey, filled with both highs and lows, as well as moments of light and darkness. Throughout this adventure, I have encountered numerous twists and turns—some uplifting and others challenging—each shaping the person I am today. If you were to ask me whether I would alter any of my experiences, my answer would be… No! This journey is uniquely mine to navigate, and upon reaching the summit of this mountain, I will seek an even greater challenge ahead. I genuinely believe that there is goodness in everything and everyone, no matter their past or circumstances. It is not for me to judge others; rather, I aim to offer support and create a positive impact in a world that can sometimes seem bleak. I feel fortunate and wish to share my blessings with others.
Life is an ongoing journey of learning that molds us into our authentic selves and leads us toward realizing our purpose. It involves pursuing our passions and finding joy in our pursuits, aiming for personal development, and paving the way for a brighter future for generations to come. At my core, I identify as an artist, a lover of nature, a steadfast friend, and above all, a true admirer of life. I wholeheartedly accept my imperfections and strive to remain authentic, sharing positivity and kindness without judgment.
As you delve deeper into my thoughts, I hope you uncover the beauty that lies within each of us, even in the face of adversity.
Sincerely
